Servicing areas throughout Redondo Beach, including:
Redondo Beach is a full-service city just 20 miles from downtown Los Angeles. The city hugs the coastal edge of Los Angeles County and has long been known as a resort destination, but along with attracting hordes of tourists each year, Redondo Beach is a lovely place to live year round.
This pleasant beach community has all of the amenities people expect from a city of over 66,000. Along with the surfing, beautiful sunbathing beach, famous pier, King Harbor and the Seaside Lagoon, the city is also home to numerous parks, mini-parks, libraries, and art installations.
The city is governed under the council-manager system. The mayor is elected by a citywide, popular election. A single council member is elected from each of the five districts. The mayor and the council then work together to appoint the chief administrative officer. The CAO manages the city’s day-to-day operations.
Many residents commute back and forth into Los Angeles for work, recreation and shopping, but Redondo is home to several industries and retail options. Of course, the tourism industry is especially strong in the area around the harbor, beach and pier, but Northrop Grumman also maintains their corporate campus in the northern portion of the city. The Galleria at South Bay is a large regional mall along the eastern portion of the city. For those who favor smaller, more eclectic shops over chain stores, the Riviera Village is the perfect choice with its many local specialty shops and restaurants.
