Servicing areas throughout Pacific Palisades, including:
The district of Pacific Palisades is located in the Westside, Los Angeles. Its borders include Brentwood, Santa Monica, Santa Monica Bay and Mountains, Malibu and Topanga.
Thomas Ince, film director, founded the city in 1911. A Methodist minister bought it in 1922 and wanted to build a religious commune. His followers enthusiastically joined him and built 100 homes by 1925. Today, approximately 27,000 people call the city home. Those residents include celebrities and German and Austrian writers who fled Nazi Germany.
Local landmarks include several neighborhoods around the city. North Village, or the Alphabet Streets, are narrow and welcome Halloween trick or treaters. Castellammare houses the Getty Villa and overlooks the ocean. Huntington Palisades resembles a typical suburb. A majority of homes sits on Marquez Knolls. The Riviera Country Club hosts the PGA’s Northern Trust Open every February. The Rustic Canyon area offers weekend retreat cabins and the Will Rogers State Park. Downtown, the Village serves as the hub for the area’s businesses.
The area attracts residents and guests because of its warm climate and beautiful views. In addition to views of the Pacific Ocean, visitors enjoy the natural beauty of local parks and hiking trails. Among them, Palisades Park includes 117 acres, and Rustic Canyon Park and Temescal Canyon Park welcome guests to play and picnic. In the Will Rogers State Historic Park and Polo Club, guests tour the famous cowboy’s home. These parks help give the Pacific Palisades its motto, “Where the Mountains Meet the Sea.”
